Rio Linda, CA 95673
Attention: Mary Harris
Dear Ms. Harris,
Several months ago I loaned a welded sign stand to you for the express purpose of assisting the Grant High School Reorganization Project. You used it to support a sign near the Rio Linda High School. Yesterday, I noticed it was no longer in place.
Last night, at the Rio Linda/Elverta Community Water District Board of Directors meeting, I asked you what had happened to my sign stand, and you responded that you did not know.
The stand is now in place at the intersection of Rio Linda Boulevard and M Street, on property I believe to be owned by Mr. Carl Brothers, the proprietor of Archway Auto Supply, also located at that intersection. You are using my stand to support a sign that defames me, Mel Griffin and Jay O’Brien. A picture of your sign, as it is installed on my stand, is included as part of this letter.
I hereby demand the return of my stand. I expect it to be delivered to me within 24 hours of your receipt of this certified letter. Please prepare a receipt form in duplicate for me to sign, acknowledging that I have received the stand from you. When I receive the stand in good condition from you or your agent, I will execute the receipt and hand one copy to you or your agent.

Gerald S. Wickham
