Mark,

Here's the response from Mr. Stosich. I'm looking forward to the community meeting on this subject. As the property owner who will be most affected should a stop sign be installed, I want to see that all other alternatives are considered before Stosich's proposal is implemented.

Jay

PS. It apprears that Stosich had to send the email twice; the first time he used a 'zero' instead of the 'O' in my name. Hopefully that was a mistake and not intended as an insult.

Friday, September 17th was the deadline for survey cards to be
delivered concerning our proposal to install stop signs on Second
Street at Shady Woods Way. Fourteen cards were returned----eleven
respondents approved of the stop signs and three were opposed. This
    is a 79% approval.

Mark,

I wish I shared your optimism. I'm afraid this is a done deal, and once the stop signs are installed there's no turning back, I'm afraid. I'm attaching a picture of one of the signs that have been up now for several days. There are two signs; this one is the north-bound sign. The south-bound sign is on my property in the street right of way.

By the way, it is Second Street, not Second Avenue. There is no Second Avenue in Rio Linda (but there are 4th Ave, 5th Ave, etc).
